Slightly delayed due to server problems we’ve released the second beta version of Amarok 2.2.
Please read the release notes, test it, report bugs and send patches (I might give away cookies for patches ;-) ).

Do you know if Amarok will be able to export the downloaded covers to the mp3s or at least the picture to the album directory?

@Kragil: No and there is currently no concrete plan to do so and a lot of other important things to do. However this could probably be done as a script if someone is interested.

Great to see Amarok developing so quickly! I was missing some features in previous Amarok 2 builds that all have been addressed now. Also good to see it included with Kubuntu 9.10!
