accepted GSoC students announced

Google just announced the selected students for GSoC 2011. Check out KDE’s students – 51 in total. We’ve students working on Calligra, KDElibs, Simon, Okular, Gluon, Plasma, OwnCloud and many more. What an awesome line-up. I’m sure they’ll rock our summer. Give them all a warm welcome. Which of the projects are you most excited about?

And as usual we had to say no to quite a few brilliant students again this year ๐Ÿ™ ย And you all know how much I hate saying no to good peeps, right? Fear not. We have a small remedy. Watch this blog for more news soon.

  1. This is great news! What I am most excited about? Difficult question, there are so many great projects. But I guess I look forward most to the work on Okular, which is a hell of a program already. If the project that sets out to make annotating better and support PDF annotations is successful, it might actually become the perfect program. ๐Ÿ™‚
